How Nuvia started
Nuvia Water was established in 2012 by Ron Johnson, who started it to help homeowners understand the quality of the water in their homes. Early on, Nuvia saw a gap in the industry: little choice in whole-home water filtration and in long-term treatment for hard water. So it developed its own systems, built around higher-efficiency filtration media and smart valves.
What Nuvia offers
Whole-home water systems. Five systems, each with a different job:
- Softening: the Nuvia Signature (single tank, four stages), the Nuvia Pro (dual tank, seven stages) and the Nuvia Simplicity.
- Scale conditioning: the Nuvia Advantage with Scale Shield, a conditioner rather than a traditional softener.
- Carbon filtration: the Nuvia Carbon CRS, which removes chlorine. It does not soften or prevent scale.
See whole-house water filtration for how they differ.
Drinking water. Nuvia offers under-sink reverse osmosis systems and alkaline drinking water systems. See reverse osmosis drinking water.
Indoor air. Nuvia also offers whole-home air purifiers, UV air purification and HVAC air purifiers.
Built around Southern California water
Southern California water is hard and mineral-heavy. Every Orange County city in our hard water by city table publishes very hard water, and every Orange County agency report we could read lists a supply above the EPA's 500 mg/L guideline for total dissolved solids. Nuvia Water, founded in 2012, works with this water every day. We install salt-based softeners, salt-free conditioners, whole-house filtration and reverse osmosis drinking water systems, and every one is chosen and sized from a water analysis at your own tap.
Where Nuvia works
Nuvia Water serves homeowners across Southern California, with a focus on Orange County and the Inland Empire. Your first step can be a free in-home water analysis, where you see your own numbers before anyone talks about a system.
